Many years ago I remember reading in the Readers Digest magazine that for a healthy amount of protein a person only needs a portion the size of a deck of cards. Wow that was easy to remember and I’m often been taken aback when I see a person eat a steak the size of 4 deck of cards. If they could only see what their body is trying to do digesting that amount of protein.

Or how about this word picture to help you remember.

Only eat a portion of protein the size of an iPhone.

So check out this cute reminder that I came across today when surfing on Oprah’s site.

Know Your Portions: The Healthy Eater’s Cheat Sheet

OUR HEALTH

We all know how precious life is and if we don’t have our health then it’s pretty hard to enjoy life to the fullest.

Are you a person who pays attention to how your body feels after you’ve eaten. If you are, then you’ll know what I’m talking about. I certainly notice how vibrant I feel when I consistently feed my body with whole grains, lots of fruit and vegetables, and small portions of protein on a regular basic. At the same time, if I eat foods that are say, white flour based, starchy and of course greasy foods, OH they can taste great but wow what a sluggish feeling the body can have after divulging in such foods.

I considered myself a fairly healthy eater most of my life but it’s been in the last several years that I’ve paid more attention to this. Is it because of aging, lol, perhaps. The biggest factor is that I feel SO much better when I take care of what I eat and include good quality trusted supplements into the routine.

Over the next while I’m going to share some healthy success tips that I’ve discovered and why they are of value to our bodies. Along with products from RBC Life Sciences, a company dedicated to health, one that I trust and recommend.

Products like their Immune 360 that has saved me numerous times when I’ve been fighting cold or flue bugs. IT WORKS!
